Busy, busy bees we've been these past couple of weeks! Preparing for our Fall Rush 2014 has been a blast, and I know I speak for every brother when I say that our excitement increases with every day that goes by. Between our info tables, both outside the CAT auditorium in the SFHB (or the CoB) and outside on the Schroeder Plaza, selling dollar hot dogs on the Quad to Festival ISU, we were able to meet so many new people! We hope you had the same amount of opportunities to meet us too!
Last night, our very first informational night was an incredibly successful event. 50 rushees seized the opportunity to network one-on-one with some of our leading actives. So, thank you to those that gave us the time to get to know you! And for those who couldn't make it to last night's info night, that is completely ok! We hope to see you next week at Meet the Chapter on Tuesday September 2nd where you get to meet and talk to all the brothers. On Wednesday September 3rd, we are having a Career Workshop with the Career Center + Game Night in the Bowling and Billiard center right by the Bone; this promises to be both an educational and super fun night! Our Rush Service Project, on Thursday September 4th afternoon, is optional but later that night, CEO of Country Financial, Kurt Bock, will be our professional speaker! Remember that we are very excited to meet you, and we might be just as nervous as you are to make these connections. We've all been through the process and we know how overwhelming it can be, so don't be afraid to ask questions. Just come in, be yourself, and allow rush week events to help you take the first steps into becoming the leader you aspire to be. So that being said, enjoy your long weekend; do something you love with the people you love and we will see you on Tuesday!
